The pork chop served at this restaurant has always been a favourite. However, when I ordered it recently I was very disappointed. It was a big hunk of something pink, not the succulent piece of meat I was expecting. My dinner companions enjoyed their meals very much but I clearly did not. I will return to this lovely spot, I just won't order the pork chop......change is not always good.
Thank you Azzurra, your new chef is wonderful!!!! we have been coming to Collingwood for years and every time we are in town we stop in for a bite. we had heard about the new chef an came in to check it out and were very pleased. keep up the good work!
Big fans of this place. I was in with family over the Thanksgiving weekend and we all loved the changes on the new menu. Great choices, great food and great service. We tell all our friends when they're up, to eat here.
We enjoy the way the menu here changes with the seasons. The chef is very creative with the dishes he prepares...lots of variety and selections not found anywhere else. Great service. Great food. Great restaurant. We've never been disappointed.
The outside of the restaurant is fantastic looking, inside is decorated with paintings by local artists, very nice. The owners really should splurge on some new chairs, the ones that are there now are really quite uncomfortable, I switched to the bench seat beside my husband after about 5 minutes.
My husband had the pork chop which I recommended to him after reading previous reviews, it was quite good. Unfortunately my halibut tasted a bit like fancy 'fish n' chips', as it came in a pool of oil and the 'citrus salsa' served with it was more like coleslaw than a citrus salsa. Couldn't actually find any citrus in it. Anyway, maybe it's supposed to be like fish & chips? I don't know. It was OK but that's all. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, however given the price I would have expected a bit better at least for my entree.
